POWER TO MAKE WEALTH

Unlocking the Divine Potential: The Power God Gives Us to Create Wealth

Have you ever read the verse in Deuteronomy and felt a surge of both inspiration and confusion? It says:
"But remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today." - Deuteronomy 8:18 (NIV)

This is a powerful, often misunderstood statement. It’s not a promise of a lottery win or a guarantee of lavish materialism. Instead, it’s a profound revelation about the source of our potential and the purpose behind our provision.
God hasn't just promised to give us wealth; He has given us the POWER to CREATE it. Let's break down what this divine empowerment means for you today.

1. The Power is a "God-Given Ability"
The word "gives" is active and present. This isn't a one-time gift from the past; it's a continuous endowment. This "ability" or "power" (the Hebrew word is koach, meaning strength, capacity, or power) is implanted within you.
Think of it like this: God doesn't just hand you a fish every day. He has equipped you with the mind to learn, the strength to work, the creativity to innovate, and the perseverance to cast the net. Your intelligence, your talents, your unique skills, and even your capacity to learn new things—these are all part of that God-given "power." It is the inherent potential to add value to the world around you.

2. The Purpose is to "Confirm His Covenant"
This is the most crucial part. The power to create wealth is not for self-indulgence. Its primary purpose is not to build bigger barns for ourselves alone. The verse states it is to "confirm his covenant."

What does that mean? God's covenant is His promise to bless His people so that they can be a blessing to others (Genesis 12:2). The wealth we create is a tool for:
· Providing for our families and communities: (1 Timothy 5:8)
· Supporting the work of the church and spreading the Gospel: (Philippians 4:15-17)
· Helping those in need and seeking justice: (Proverbs 19:17, Isaiah 1:17)
· Being a testament to God's faithfulness and goodness: (Matthew 5:16)

When we use our resources for these purposes, we actively participate in God's covenant plan. Our financial success becomes a ministry.

3. The Principle Requires Stewardship, Not Just Receiving
Understanding that the power comes from God changes our entire perspective. It moves us from a mindset of ownership ("This is all mine") to one of stewardship ("God has entrusted me with this").

This power isn't a magic spell. It’s a partnership. It requires us to:
· Work diligently: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord..." (Colossians 3:23)
· Plan and be wise: "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty." (Proverbs 21:5)
· Walk in integrity: "The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are His delight." (Proverbs 11:1)
· Trust Him, not the wealth: "Command those who are rich in this present world not to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." (1 Timothy 6:17)

How to Activate This Power in Your Life
1. Acknowledge the Source: Begin each day with gratitude. Thank God for the mind, body, skills, and opportunities He has given you. This keeps pride at bay and aligns your heart with His.
2. Develop Your God-Given Abilities: Your "koach" is like a muscle. Invest in yourself. Learn a new skill, read a book, take a course. Hone the talents God has given you to increase your capacity to create value.
3. Seek Divine Wisdom: Pray for guidance in your financial decisions. Ask for wisdom to manage what you have well, to recognize opportunities, and to avoid foolish risks. (James 1:5)
4. Define Your "Why": Align your goals with God's purpose. Ask yourself: "How can the wealth I create serve others and glorify God?"
5. Take Faith-Filled Action: Step out in courage. Apply for the job, launch the business, make the investment. Work with excellence as an act of worship, trusting that God is working with you.
You are not alone in your pursuit. You have been equipped with a divine capacity. You carry within you a God-given power to create, to build, and to prosper—not for a life of empty accumulation, but for a life of profound purpose and impactful generosity.

Step into that power today.
Remember:- THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE YOU ARE IN IT.
